Grovewood Inn, Cleveland, Ohio

And we're off with a great start! We were troopers heading out into another blizzard, but determined still, to tuck into the Grovewood's large and varied menu. There was 7 of us tonight with Brad and Ken and the original pack. The grilled Ceasar was a hit, with tasty caramelized and grilled garlic, and was the sesame (and we suspect tahini) noodles that came with the seared tuna Nicole got. I had the paella, which was fair. Joey and Brad had the Bison, which looked beautiful on the plate with fall root veggies. Ken had the blacked scallops with mash, which was yummy, and Brian had the yakitori, which i didn't hear much about. We also ordered a cheese plate to share and desserts which went around the table...tiramisu, chocolate lava cake, and the pecan caramel cake. The pecan cake was excellent. I'd say service and atmosphere was great, I didn't love my meal, but i'd go back again to try something else. Let's hear what my fellow TTS Clubbers have to say.

  1. Grovewood/Thermador was a GREAT start to our little supper club! We might have to make that sort of a "supper club anniversary" spot! I'd love to go back but as I think about my list of places we should try out its hard to see when that'll happen. My plate of bison "pot roast" with roasted fall veggies and Ohio City Pasta gnocchi was super tasty! Perfect, stick-to-your-ribs meal for the snowy cold night that it was. The bison wasnt as tender as I had hoped but overall pretty fanastic. Everything else that got passed around the table was pretty damn good too. I think the atmosphere made the place...just a cool spot to hang out with some awesome friends!
